Some new art, finally.
I started using Bryce, which has been taken over by Daz to go along with Daz Studio, quite a while ago but have not been working with it recently. I thought I would wipe the dust off and see how it holds up against some of the newer programs. There are new updates for Bryce available, version 5.5 I believe, check the above link for more info. So I thought it would be a good idea to see what I could come up with. I have always used a variety of programs when working on a project, mostly because I am usually more familiar with doing certain tasks better with some programs then others.
Although Bryce is a full 3d rendering program I have always been the most impressed with the sureal fantasy type skys that it can create. Here are a couple I created and thought I would post them for you to have a look. I hope to have some time this week and will post a few more renders and try to delve a little deeper into Bryce 5.5 as soon as I can. The speed of the rendering has certainly been improved since version 5 and I am anxious to see what more Daz has added to the program. All in all, it seems quite an improvement and does a very good job at rendering, but the Bryce GUI has always taken a while to get used to and that has not changed very much. Still Bryce is a pretty neat 3d program that integrates with Daz Studio and it is defenitely worth a look. Check out the Gallery under Landscapes for more images.
